Atheists mistakenly imagine that disproving the existence of a Creator God "gets rid of" God. It does not. Discrediting the idea that the universe is intrinsically good does not get rid of God either. Nor does presenting evidence of widespread evil, and nor does pointing out that belief in God as Father rather conveniently helps our species feel at home-wanted and legitimate-in what is really a vast and indifferent universe. This is because the God that atheists "get rid of" was a straw God to begin with. Strong words, I know. But according to the theology of theopraxy, the God left standing after the atheists have had their way is finer by far than the God they dismiss.
